J. Scott Hagood

J. Scott Hagood was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. He attended the University of Florida, where he participated in the Study Abroad Program in Utrecht, the Netherlands, studying European politics and the European Union integration. Mr. Hagood graduated from the University of Florida in 2002, receiving his B.A. in Economics. Prior to attending law school at the Catholic University, Columbus School of Law, he traveled extensively and lived in Spain, France, Germany and Belgium, where he taught English.

Mr. Hagood began his law studies in the fall of 2004. In 2005, he was invited to join the Catholic University Law Review following a writing competition. As a member of the Law Review, Mr. Hagood authored a comment on the problems urban sprawl poses to pastoral, local historic sites, particularly the Civil War battlefields that dot the area. He became an Associate Editor in 2006 and managed a team of 12 staff editors as well as editing papers due for production in the journal. Mr. Hagood also served as a Student Attorney for a year with Columbus Community Legal Services where he represented indigent clients in a variety of matters.

Mr. Hagood is an associate with Hannon Law Group, LLP having joined the firm in January, 2008.
