J. Scott Hagood focuses his practice on business development and counseling, as well as employment and civil litigation. In addition to his law degree, Scott holds a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in International Commercial Law from University College London (UCL), where he graduated with high honors, receiving his LL.M. with Distinction.
Scott received his Juris Doctor from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in May 2007. While a student, he was a member of the Catholic University Law Review, for which he drafted an article on the impact of urban sprawl on historic sites in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He was elected to a management position with the Law Review in his final year of school. He was also a Student Attorney and legal intern for Columbus Community Legal Services, a free clinic providing representation to indigent and underrepresented residents of the District of Columbia, where he negotiated a favorable settlement in a consumer fraud case.
Prior to his legal studies, Scott received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Florida, where he attended with a full academic scholarship.
