Karey Hart is an attorney who believes creative problem solving, buttressed by extensive legal research, provides the best results for her clients. She spent her formative years studying theatre. The structure, discipline and resourceful thinking she applied as a performer translate perfectly to the practice of law. She began her legal career as a graduate fellow at Columbus Community Legal Services (CCLS). As a fellow, she mentored student attorneys by developing courtroom strategies, interview techniques and evidence skills.
Karey graduated cum laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia. During her time at CUA, she was a Moot Court Vice Chancellor and Law Review associate. She also competed in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and won best oralist in the second round of competition. Karey is especially proud of her time as a student attorney in the CCLS General Practice Clinic. There, she assisted clients in employment concerns, consumer protection matters, and successfully negotiated a settlement for her client in a breach of contract case.
Karey hails from McLean, Virginia and received a degree in Theatre from Oakland University.
