HLG WINS GRIEVANCE ON USE OF FORCE
A Department of Corrections Officer won back his job, represented by J. Scott Hagood. He was terminated for excessive use of force. We exposed a very sloppy investigation by the agency, which the arbitrator found decisive. He called the investigation “not credible,” and unreliable, and singled out coercive tactics by the investigators in their interviews with witnesses. The Officer was returned to work, with back pay and benefits.
