On January 10, 2020, Chief Judge James Boasberg of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court issued an Order appointing an amicus curiae. This order appoints Hannon Law Group Attorney David S. Kris as "Amicus Curiae" to the Court. Mr. Kris is to review the FBI's response to the Court's demand. The FBI plans to avoid the debacle of "significant errors" disclosed in the Report of the DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act authorizes the appointment of knowledgeable persons in connection with particular matters.
